List of things that I'm [[Subscription|subscribed]] to, as of 2024.
## π Services
- **Amazon Prime ($160 / year)** - At this point, too much of our lifestyle is tied to Amazon and it's hard to break out of that convenience.
- **Goodeggs ($29 / month)** - this is something that we're trying out to reduce the burden around ordering groceries.
## πΆπ° Media
- **Youtube ($23 / month)** - this is a family membership. Honestly, I'm wondering if I should cut it to reduce wasting time on Youtube videos...
- **Spotify ($17 / month)** - there's an argument to consolidate Youtube and Spotify into one, but it's additional work we need to do and I personally don't feel like it.
- **Economist ($200 / year)** - It's pricy, but it's worth it. I've been enjoying their podcasts. Technically can get their podcast only subscrition, but I would rather have the physical copy I can flip around.
- **[TheInformation](https://www.theinformation.com/) ($200 / year)** - tech news; I'm on a discount tier. I don't know whether I'll pay full price for this. I think their buisness model (750 for the pro tier, which they are increasingly pushing) assumes that this is expensible corporate spending (which, unfortunately, I am not in the position right now).
- **[[The Pragmatic Engineer]] ($150 / year)** - tech news; I think it's pricy for what it provides, but I do like being subscribed to it.
- **[[Past Present Future]] (Β£50 / year)** - my favorite podcast.
## βοΈ Cloud Storage
- **Google One ($2 / month)**
- **Apple iCloud ($2 / month)**
- **Lightroom ($10 / month)**
- **[Day One](https://dayoneapp.com/) ($35 / month)** - I use this for journaling. This is slightly annoying because it bifurcates my notes between Obsidian and Day One. However, Day One's UI is better for journaling (and reading journals); the metadata it tracks with time and location are quite convenient at reconstructing my days. I don't think I'll give up on Day One anytime soon.
- **Obsidian Publish ($10 / month)** - To host this website.
## Other
- **[Raindrop](https://raindrop.io) ($28 / year)**
- **IFTTT ($3 / month)**
- **Readwise ($8 / month)** - I should consolidate between Raindrop, Readwise, and IFTTT as I'm using all of them for the similar purpose of aggregating links and highlights.
- **1password ($60 / year)** - I've been using this product for the last 10 years, when it wasn't a subscription product. One one hand, I'm still slightly annoyed by the fact that this is subscription, but it's understandible. Especially as part of a family plan, this is so worth it.
- **Copilot PFM**
